Holiday Happiness

Good morning. For my people that donโ€™t celebrate Christmas, I respect that. You not working and you donโ€™t even know why ๐Ÿ˜‚. Happy Holidays from Dr. Kizomba and the Kizomba Canada family.

Facebook is on fire. I mean, on fire! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅThat last post, tho. Listen, listen Mi Gente. To be honest, turning a blind eye and acting like certain things are not happening is the type of behaviour that tricks us into believing that this racism situation is not happening in other places too. Politically or impolitically, Iโ€™m done with being correct and accommodating other ppl. Some things are too important and for those topics, I speak my heart. Shout-out to my sisters Amber Rose and Lauryn Smith: youโ€™ve done a good job on Facebook of keeping it real. From now on, wtv you post, you have my โ€œlikeโ€ button guaranteed.

Maria, Maria, Maria we gotta stop drinking before we party: last night, we were turning it up with a 4 year old. Listening to Uzi, coming up with some sick dance moves. If you have snapchat add your boy @drkizomba, youโ€™ll see. You will laugh. That little girl is a party animal. Good times! After that, we went to party party party and dance dance dance at Bahramโ€™s Bachata Invasion. I love this dude. I love the way he is, he is a great organizer, he cares about Montreal and he is the guy successfully putting everyone in one room. Kudos to him. Yesterday: awesome performances & shows. DJ Fofo-Jah, DJ the best, DJ Angel Design keeping the Kizomba rooms spinning with their ๐ŸŽถ tunes.

I gotta give thanks to my eldest son Richard Voogt for going to Ghana and representing himself, his team, his family, Dsantos Dance UK and Kizomba Canada. Making us proud. So proud. I heard rumours he almost had dinner with the president! Woooow. Son, I am very proud of your success, and I tell you with all my heart: keep going. Iโ€™m proud of your classes and your work and your representation of this Angolan dance and culture. You gave me the flowers while I am alive: usually people wait till youโ€™re dead to lay flowers on your coffin but not you, my son. Youโ€™ve given me beautiful flowers while Iโ€™m still alive to appreciate them.

Iโ€™m gonna finish today with a good note bc I am so happy. These past few days have just been non-stop partying and really laughing and seeing beautiful people and enjoying life and friends. Canโ€™t wait to see my friends across the ocean. Soon, Mi Gente!

This year is almost done. From the bottom of my heart I wish all my people: donโ€™t stop what you are done. Keep going. Dance. And always remember your doctorโ€™s wisdom:
๐Ÿ”นRepetition is the mother of learning.
๐Ÿ”นTraining beats talent.
